Many thanks to the 44 contributors to my Indiegogo campaign, without whom this album would not have been possible. A big thank you to my friend Reid Kruger for being amazing to work with and hang with. To my family and friends who have been so supportive throughout the years. And finally, to my fantastically talented wife Natalie Nowytski, who keeps me honest and sane.

Produced by Scott Keever
Production assistance by Raymond Yates, Natalie Nowytski
Engineered and mixed by Reid Kruger for Waterbury Music + Sound, Minneapolis, MN
Mastering by Greg Reierson for Rare Form Mastering
Album design by Natalie Nowytski for Renaissance Jane
Photography by Trina Orton for Straylight Creative

All tracks composed by Scott Keever (copyright 2023 Human Soundtrack Music) except “Liljano Mome” (Bulgarian traditional), arranged by Scott Keever.

1. Svaha
(tuning: CGCGCD – capo 3) Thompson six-string
Winter 1999. Author Edward Conze referred to svāhā as a term of blessing: "an ecstatic shout of joy, expressive of a feeling of complete release".

2. Road to Tir Na Nog
(tuning: CGCGCD – capo 3) Thompson six-string
Spring 2000. According to Celtic mythology, Tír na nÓg is the place of everlasting youth and beauty.

3. Trapped In The Best Way Possible
(tuning: DGDF#AD) Amistar resophonic
April 2020. Written for my wife Natalie at the start of the COVID pandemic. The title says it all.

4. A Cynic Tells Love Stories
(tuning: DADGAD) Thompson six-string
Summer 2008. Commissioned by Katherine Glover for her one-woman MN Fringe Festival show of the same title.

5. Bridgetunnel
(tuning: DGDGBD) Takamine 12-string (courtesy of Kurt Greisemer), tom toms with brushes
Guitar recorded at Made At Home Productions by Kurt.
Summer 1988. First guitar piece I ever wrote. Written underneath the old bridge in Stillwater MN.

6. Dirt Roads and Fireflies
(tuning: DGDGBD) Amistar resophonic, foot stomp
Winter 2018. Before I named the tune, an audience member said that it sounded like dirt roads and fireflies. I couldn’t agree more.

7. Liljano Mome
(standard tuning) Cordoba classical
Classic Bulgarian folk standard that I learned as a member of Orkestar Bez Ime. It’s a gentle 7/8 dance called a lesnoto.

8. Blue (from "Crayola's Revenge")
(standard tuning) Aria hollow body electric

9. Red (from "Crayola's Revenge")
(standard tuning) Aria hollow body electric

10. Yellow (from "Crayola's Revenge")
(standard tuning) Thompson six-string
Summer 2013/Summer 2020. The music for “Crayola’s Revenge” was commissioned by director/performer Jena Young for a dance piece at the MN Fringe Festival. She asked me to create one-minute guitar pieces for each color of the rainbow. This trilogy is comprised of three colors that wanted more than one minute.

11. Fantasia for Soren
(standard tuning) Cordoba classical
Winter 2019. In honor of the birth of Erin and Roo’s son.

12. Elegy
(tuning: CGCGCD – capo 3) Thompson six-string
April 2006. For those who’ve passed on. Dedicated to the lovely Rachel MacAulay (1970-2006).
